Three friends who went to Smyrna High School together will soon be opening Anytime Fitness in the Simon’s Corner Shopping Center off of Route 13 in Smyrna, near Concord Pet.
On Saturday, Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Danny Wandless, Andy Weiss, and Chris Wise will be holding a preview of the fitness center and a pre-membership sale with the lowest rates that will ever be offered.
They plan to officially open the 5,600 square-foot facilty in December.
“This has always been a dream of mine,” said Wandless. “Ever since I graduated from Smyrna High School in 1987, I have always been a member of a fitness facility in order to achieve my personal fitness goals.”
Wandless, who is a teacher at Smyrna High, said after coaching two varsity sports last year, “my time in the gym decreased due to the lack of accessibility of a quality gym in our town.”
“That prompted me to begin my research and visit many different gyms in the surrounding states,” he said. “I discovered that Anytime Fitness’s high standards, community-oriented philosophy and personal commitments to its members would be the type of gym Smyrna could be proud of.
Therefore I began the process of opening up an Anytime Fitness here in Smyrna. Andy, a life-long friend and a very experienced business owner, along with his brother Chris came on board to help make my dream a reality.”
