Woman dies in crash near Hartly

A 24-year-old Hartly woman died from injuries suffered in a single-car crash Thursday, March 4 near Hartly.

The accident happened at about 9:30 p.m., on Slaughter Station Road near the intersection of Hourglass Road, south of Hartly, according to Delaware State Police.

Casey A. Krayer was driving a 2007 Pontiac G6 west on Slaughter Station Road near Hourglass Road when she ran off the road on a curve. Her car overturned several times, and she was thrown from the vehicle.

Krayer was taken by emergency personnel to Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital where she died from her injuries.

Krayer was the only occupant in the vehicle. She wasn’t wearing her seatbelt, police said.

Slaughter Station Road was closed for about two hours during the accident investigation.
