Due to the recent heavy snowfall, Gov. Jack Markell has ordered that state of Delaware offices in Kent and Sussex counties are closed Monday, Feb. 8.
Non-essential employees who live or work in Kent and Sussex counties are not to report to work for this period.
Non-essential employees who live or work in Kent and Sussex counties whose shift includes hours after 4:30 p.m. should also not report to work.
State of Delaware offices in New Castle County will open at 10 a.m. Non-essential employees who live and work in New Castle County do not report until 10 a.m. Essential employees are to report to work as scheduled.
Schools closed
Smyrna School District schools and Providence Creek Academy in Clayton are also closed Monday, Feb. 8.
