Bayhealth opened the doors of its new 35,000-square foot Emergency and Trauma Services Department at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15.

The facility is almost three times the size of Kent General’s original emergency services department and features a level III trauma center with a heliport to allow for rapid transport of trauma patients.
