Bayhealth opened its doors to the community for an open house on September 30 at its expanded Smyrna-Clayton Medical Services facility on North Carter Road.

Visitors toured the recently completed 30,000 square-foot expansion and learned about the services available at the facility, including the most powerful open MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) system in the healthcare industry.

The expansion also houses CT scan, X-ray, EKG, Lab and Ultrasound.

Bayhealth representatives and local officials held a ribbon cutting for the expansion at the open house.

“As the area has grown, so, too, has the need for healthcare services,” said Dennis Klima, president/CEO of Bayhealth. “We’ve got a great team here, and that’s what it takes to render good healthcare services.”
