Because of the forecast for heavy rain, the Downtown Dover Partnership has canceled the Dover St. Patrick's Parade scheduled for Saturday, March 13.

In a press release, Downtown Dover Partnership representatives said they made every effort to reschedule the event, but it was not possible.

"Unfortunately, the parade is another foul weather casualty that so many Delaware events have suffered from this year," the DDP said in the press release. "Apparently we didn't have the luck of the Irish with us this year."

For more information, call the DDP office at 302-678-2940.

COMING UP: Dover's next parade will be Saturday, May 1, the Dover Days Parade, which kicks off at 9 a.m. Reviewing stage will be on Dover's historic Green.
