Entries are still being accepted for the St. Patrick’s Parade in Smyrna on Sunday, March 14, sponsored by the Smyrna-Clayton July 4th Association.
Line-up will begin at North Elementary School on North Main Street at 12:30 p.m. The parade begins at 2 p.m., from the school heading south on Main Street, turning right onto South Street, and ending at Market Street Plaza near John Bassett Moore Intermediate School and the Smyrna Town Hall.
Among the musical groups that will be performing in the parade are:
• Citizens' Hose Company Band,
•Delaware Tech Hammerin' Hawks Drumline,
• Smyrna High School Regiment of Red Marching Band.
Car clubs entered so far are include the Diamond State Corvette Club and Lower Delaware Mustang Club.
Everyone is welcome.
Trophies will be awarded to the top three “Best Irish Theme” entries!
To register for the parade, send a form with the name of your business, group, or organization; contact person, phone, fax and/or email, mailing address, a brief description of the parade entry which will be announced, along with the number of units, participants, and vehicles. Please be specific, because this information will be used for spacing during the lineup.
The registration form must be received by March 10, mailed to Frank Furr IV, 380 Sunrise Drive, Clayton, DE 19938.
