David J. Caward III of Smyrna died Friday, Jan. 29, 2010 due to a car accident. He was 22.
David was born November 11, 1987 in Dover, Delaware to David J. Caward, Jr. and Barbara Thomas.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, skateboarding, bicycling and being with family and friends.
David is survived by his mother, Barbara Thomas of Smyrna; his father, David Caward Jr. of Wilmington; brothers, Bruce Morris and Gregory “CJ” Johnson Jr., both of Smyrna, and Gaige Caward of Pennsylvania; Maternal grandparents, Mary Thomas and Ernie Finn of Dover; his girlfriend, Stephanie Marine of Virginia; aunts and uncles, Denise and Brian Fletcher, Howard and Kelly Deputy, all of Smyrna, Ricky O’Bryan of Pennsylvania, Denise O‘Donnell of Delaware City; cousin, Kelly Irwin; and his extended family, Heidi, PJ and Brittney Finnegan, Pauletta Nonnie Johnson of Delaware City.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 6 at noon, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday morning.
