Donna Toumey Noel of Smyrna, Delaware, passed away Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010 in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was 58.
Mrs. Noel was born May 11, 1951 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Delores Gates Toumey of Fishers, Indiana and the late Donald Toumey. She worked as an Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Agriculture at Delaware State University for the last 23 years.
Mrs. Noel was a member of the Smyrna Wesleyan Church where she served on the church board and enjoyed singing and participating in the church choir. She was a former member of the Smyrna School Board and served as an assistant coach to the Smyrna-Clayton Pop Warner Cheerleaders.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Keith Noel; two daughters, Cindy McNatt and her husband Ryan of Clayton, Delaware and Chrissie Brown and her husband Oakley of Smyrna; a sister, Nancy Toumey of Fishers, and her grandchildren who she loved caring for, Miranda and Logan Strickland, Ryan McNatt Jr., and Cierra Brown.
Services will be Thursday, Jan. 21 at 11 a.m., in the Smyrna Wesleyan Church, 433 West Commerce Street, Smyrna, where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Friends may also call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m., in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main Street, Smyrna. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Smyrna.
