Terra Lynn Masten Rines, of Smyrna, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2008 in her home.

She was born August 10, 1970, in Dover.

Ms. Rines attended Calvary’s Lamb Ministries Church in Kenton. She was employed at the Waffle House in Smyrna.

When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed spending time with her daughter, family, and friends, and at the Delaware beaches and shooting pool.

Ms. Rines was preceded in death by her grandparents, Howard “Hoot” Masten and Ida E. “Poochie” Masten.

She is survived by her mother, Betty Ann Masten and Rick Banks of Dover; great-grandmother, Ida Furber of Dover; her companion, Todd Rose; the pride and joy of her life, her daughter, Desirae Powell of Smyrna; brothers, Jeremy Slaughter and Eric Banks of Dover; aunts, Sara Lee Hommock of Ashville, North Carolina, Brenda Venderwende of Dover, and Pam Marvel of Clayton; uncles, Howard “Hootie” Masten of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Dale Masten of Kenton, and many nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.

Remembrance services were held at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 24 in Trader Funeral Home, Dover, where friends were asked to call two hours prior. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
