    Doris Elaine (Morgan) DeRocili of Clayton, surrounded by family, went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2009 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 73.
    Elaine was born July 12, 1935. She graduated from A.I. du Pont High School in 1954 and West Nottingham Academy in 1955. She attended Fairmont State College and Daytona Beach Community College.
    Elaine taught physical education but left her teaching career to serve her country in the Army Medical Corps. She then joined the United States Army Reserves and rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant.
    She is survived by her husband, Rudolph J. DeRocili; two step-children, Leah De Rocili and her husband Raymond Matusiak of Hockessin, and Kevin DeRocili of Scottsdale, Arizona and his girlfriend Kathy Place of Malvern, Pennsylvania; a grandson, Russell Burns and his wife Stephanie; a great-grandson, Colin Burns of Landenberg, Pennsylvania, and two sisters, Yolanda Pratola and Diane Dennie, both of Wilmington.
    Services will be Friday, June 12 at 11 a.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main Street, Smyrna, where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Burial will be at 12:15 p.m. in All Saints Cemetery, Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington.
    In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Central Mennonite School, 220 West Denneys Road, Dover, DE 19904.
