OBITUARY: Robert L. Bamberger, 76

Robert L. Bamberger, 76, of Smyrna, passed away on Feb. 16, 2010 with family at his side.

He was born August 10, 1933 in Dover, the son of the late Olan and Mary Moore Bamberger.

He was a veteran of the Korean War, a community, civic, and church leader. He will be missed.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jacqueline Potter Bamberger; a son, Robert Newnam and his wife Pauline of Smyrna; a daughter, Tracey Stoebe and her husband Jim of Atlanta, Georgia; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a sister, Nancy Keiser of Tampa, Florida.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rt. 13, Smyrna.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church, PO Box 330, Smyrna, DE 19977.

Arrangements are by Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, Smyrna.
