In these uncertain times I am careful of my investments and concerned about how climate change will affect Delaware.
My home is losing value and may be oceanfront one day, but I am working hard to make sure my retirement nest egg is growing. I’ve decided to use my investment power to support companies that utilize sustainable practices and develop new products in an environmentally responsible manner using clean energy. These investments will yield developments in new clean energy technologies, such as renewable energy, fuel cells and waste recycling. All of these new developments will go a long way to reduce emission of global warming gasses.
However, I know that I am only one person and larger investors and government need to participate. Jack Markell has outlined opportunities that investments in alternative and renewable clean energy and technology present.
Jack has the business experience and his years as state treasurer to guide the state into new ways to leverage our investment power and yield strong returns. Heavens knows we need the additional money these investments will bring, the technology they will support and the reduction of greenhouse gases they will create.
