In this day and age, as both the United States and Delaware face a massive deficit on top of a recession, it is beyond me how anybody cannot support Jack Markell in the primary. Quite frankly, the economy is in the forefront of all of our minds, even more so for small business people like myself.

Jack Markell not only recognizes the problems the state faces such as poor growth for small businesses but also knows the solutions. Markell has an extensive history in business, and a tremendously successful one at that. A shining example of this is Fleet Call, a small company of which he was one of the first employees. His guidance and innovation led to the rapid expansion of the Fortune 500 company we now know as Nextel (a name which Jack created by the way).

Looking at his book a volunteer left me, he's got the right idea for Delaware. Delaware cannot continue to keep waiting for answers to this and other issues facing us today.  We need someone with a business background and the ability to lead like Jack Markell.
