Smyrna police arrest Wyoming resident on drug possession charges

Smyrna police officers arrested a Wyoming man Jan. 7 on drug possession and other charges.

At 12:45 a.m. police pulled over a man on Jimmy Drive for a lapsed registration. Police then discovered the driver, 37-year-old Joseph A. Barcita, was in possession of marijuana, according police press release.

Officers charged Barcita with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia as well as traffic charges. He was taken to the Smyrna Police Department, processed and released on a summons to appear in court.
