In response to the Sun-Times newspaper's page 5 request to "Draw Mom for Mother's Day," here are some of the drawings submitted by students at The Academy at St. Polycarp in Smyrna.

Clayton Elementary second graders cheered on cyclists who rode past the school Thursday during the Legislative Bike Ride. The event is organized by the Delaware Bicycle Council, State Sen. David Sokola’s (D-Newark) office, and DelDOT’s Bicycle Planning Division. It is a group of adult cyclists that ride together from a location in New Castle County to northern Sussex County ending at Legislative Mall in Dover. Following the success of stopping by a school last year, Sen. Sokola asked to do the same for another school this year – Clayton Elementary.
