- Clayton Elementary students participated in the American Heart Association?s Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart fundraisers and awareness programs last week. Clayton Elementary staff and students raised roughly $4,000 for the American Heart Association. The school?s top fundraiser was second grader Joey McLean with $405. The students took part in various jump rope and basketball activities during their physical education classes with teacher Lauren Shanklin.
