Trailing by two heading into the fourth quarter, Smyrna outscored Cape Henlopen 19-6 in the final  stanza to knock off the Vikings 54-43.

 

Three Eagles finished in double figures Friday night, led by Azubuike Nwankwo with 12 points, followed by Anthony Watson with 11 and Caleb Matthews with 10.

 

Randy Rickards led the way for Cape, scoring a team-high 13 points in the loss which dropped the Vikings to 4-4 on the season. They’re back in action Tuesday night on the road taking on Indian River at 6:30 p.m.


Smyrna improves to 7-2 on the year, they’re back on the hardwood at home Tuesday night against Salesianum starting at 7:15 p.m.
