Fans are encouraged to bring toilet paper, paper towels, small bottles of bath essentials, toothpaste, toothbrushes, first-aid items, diapers, socks, blankets, bottled water, flashlights and dry food for dogs and cats.

Donations will be accepted for Hurricane Harvey victims at the football game between Smyrna and Middletown tonight, Sept. 8, at Cavaliers Stadium off of South Broad Street in Middletown, in back of Everett Meredith Middle School, the former high school. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.

For the renewal of the "Harvest Bowl," Middletown High School and Smyrna High School will be joining together to "Stuff the Bus" for hurricane victims.

Fans are also encouraged to write notes to children affected by the disaster to let them know our communities are thinking about them.

Cadia Healthcare Rehabilitation Broadmeadow has donated a bus to transport the supplies, and members of the Cecilton Fire Department of Maryland have volunteered to drive the bus to Texas to deliver the items to the Red Cross.
