The Eagles won their third game in a row, a 2-1 road victory over the Buccaneers Tuesday.

The Smyrna High School field hockey team won its third game in a row on Tuesday -- a 2-1 victory at Milford.

The Eagles took a 1-0 lead in the first half on a goal by Alexis Moore at the 18:45 mark.

Then Jessica Bergold scored at 8:31 to boost Smyrna's advantage to 2-0.

In the second half, Milford scored at the 6:06 mark, but Smyrna hung on for the victory.

Milford had a 15-4 advantage in penalty corners and an 8-5 edge in shots, but Smyrna's defense held strong.

Katelynn Porter made 6 saves in goal for the Eagles, and Autum Wilson made a key defensive save.

NEXT GAME: Smyrna, now 3-2, hosts Sussex Tech Thursday, Sept. 28 at 4 p.m.
