Robert Eskridge placed first in the tri-meet Wednesday against Lake Forest and Sussex Academy. In the team standings, the Eagles beat Sussex Academy but lost to Lake Forest.

Smyrna High School's Robert Eskridge won the boys cross country tri-meet against Lake Forest and Sussex Academy Wednesday at Lake Forest.

Eskridge crossed the finish line in 17:39, which was 33 seconds ahead of second-place finisher Shane Massey of Lake Forest.

In the team standings, Smyrna defeated Sussex Academy 19-40, but fell to Lake Forest 25-32. Lake Forest also beat Sussex Academy 19-41 (low score wins).
