The Smyrna High School girls cross country team improved to 7-0 by sweeping the quad-meet at Delmar Wednesday.

The Smyrna High School girls cross country team raced past Delmar, Dover and Sussex Tech Wednesday in a quad-meet at Delmar.

The Eagles defeated Delmar 15-49 (low score wins), knocked off Dover 15-43 and soared over Sussex Tech 21-37 to improve to 7-0 this season.

Dover downed Delmar 23-32 and Sussex Tech 22-32, while Tech won against Delmar 19-42.

Smyrna runners swept the top three individual places overall, with Naomi Bowser winning the race, Destinee Ekanem finishing second and Abby Mace placing third.
