Organized by the Middletown Area Chamber of Commerce, the event was held at the Town of Whitehall, north of Middletown.

The Middletown Area Chamber of Commerce (MACC) is pleased to announce the championship teams from the 3rd Annual Corntober BrewFest held on Sept. 30 at the Town of Whitehall, north of Middletown.

Residents from the Delmarva region came out to support 37 teams as they braved the wind for the Delaware State Championship Cornhole Tournament.

Congratulations to the winners:

State Championship 1st place - Slower Lower (Jaime Hudson and Tony Jewell),

State Championship 2nd place - Raining Buckets (John Kitchin and Brian Wyre),

State Championship 3rd place - Ralph and Eric (Ralph Floyd and Eric Stowe).

Social Division Champs - All In (Greg Mathena and Hunter Fleming).

Team Sniper & Son were the big winners of the custom cornhole boards.

A big note of gratitude to sponsors and vendors: Town of Whitehall, Wilmington Cornhole Association, ClearChannel Outdoor, WDSD, Ridin' Shotgun, 301 Plaza, Volunteer Brewing, Half Baked Patissiere, Candy Connections, the Middletown Area Chamber of Commerce and to the amazing volunteers!

Corntober Brewfest features music, great food and a selection of fall brews and activities. The event is home to the state's only Cornhole Championship Tournament sanctioned by then-Governor Jack Markell as a State of Delaware Championship. It is a double elimination tournament.

A portion of the proceeds benefit the MACC Foundation with scholarships to graduating students and also supports businesses through the Middletown Business Incubator & Collaborative Workspace.
