Eight Eagles capture individual titles and Smyrna's Tony Wuest named Most Outstanding Wrestler
The Smyrna High School wrestling team won the Milford Invitational Tournament Friday and Saturday with eight individual titles.
Placing first in their weight classes for the Eagles were Joey Natarcola (106), Jaxson Al-Chokhachy (113), Nick Natarcola (132), Greg Baum (145), J.T. Davis (160), Dakota Kerr (182), Tony Wuest (195) and Andrew DeBenedictis (220).
Wuest was also named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Wrestler.
The Eagles scored 333.5 team points to capture the championship over second-place Sussex Central with 295.5.
Sussex Central is the defending Division I state champion.

Smyrna hosts Dover Dec. 13
The Eagles will return to dual-meet action Wednesday, Dec. 13, at home vs. Dover at 6:30 p.m.
Then the Smyrna wrestlers will be competing in the Beast of the East Tournament at the University of Delaware Dec. 16 and 17.
The Eagles will travel to Laurel for a dual meet Thursday, Dec. 21 at 5:30 p.m.
