The Smyrna High School girls runners swept a quad-meet Wednesday at Sussex Tech to improve to 7-1 this season

Sarah Larose won the quad-meet race Wednesday at Sussex Tech to lead the Smyrna High School girls cross country team to wins over Sussex Tech, Delmar and Dover.

Larose finished in 21:10, as the Eagles improved to 7-1 this season.

Placing second overall was Smyrna's Raegan Sebastianelli in 21:30, while Kelly Barr finished third overall for the Eagles in 22:04.

Other top Smyrna runners were Melissa Perez-Rangel in sixth in 22:41, Abby Mace in ninth in 23:29 and Diana Perez-Rangel in 13th in 24:00.

The Eagles defeated Delmar 15-50, Dover 15-50 and Sussex Tech 21-34 (low score wins).
