The Smyrna High boys’ basketball team improved to 8-4 on the season after defeating Seaford and Lake Forest last week.
The Eagles topped Seaford 72-46 on Jan. 19. Andre Gibbs scored 22 points in the Smyrna victory, while Nick Motyl and Matt Storck each netted 11 points. Bradley Forrest-Jones had eight points for Smyrna.
The Eagles also took care of business against Lake Forest in a 65-50 win on Jan. 22. Gibbs scored 21 for Smyrna. Derrick Boyd finished with 15 points, Storck added nine, and Chris Oscar scored seven.
Smyrna was scheduled to visit Salesianum on Tuesday, Jan. 26. On Friday, the Eagles will go on the road to face Dover. Smyrna will host Cape Henlopen on Tuesday, Feb. 2.
