The Smyrna High School softball team earned the 7th seed and a home game in the first round of the state tournament Saturday at 11 a.m., facing 10th seeded Milford.
If the Eagles win Saturday, they'll challenge the winner of the Sussex Tech-Red Lion game next week. Sussex Tech is seeded 2nd, while Red Lion is 15th.
Caravel Academy earned the top seed in the 16-team tournament with an 18-1 record.
