In the Division 1 high school wrestling dual meet championship tournament Feb. 23, Smyrna High defeated William Penn in the opening round but lost to Sussex Central in the semifinals at Delaware State University.
St. Mark's defeated Sussex Central in the championship match.
FIRST ROUND
Smyrna was seeded third in the six-team tournament, and faced sixth seed William Penn in the first round. The Eagles won the match 43-21.

SEMIFINALS
In the semifinals, Smyrna challenged Sussex Central in a rematch of the Henlopen Conference Northern Division title showdown which was won by the Knights 45-17 just four days earlier.
The score in this match was a bit closer, but the Knights won eight of the first nine weight classes and cruised to a 47-28 victory.
