The U.S. Army Baltimore Recruiting Battalion is proud to announce that Smyrna’s Cody Carbine is this week’s winner of the Army STRONG Wrestler of the Week, honoring Delaware’s best high school wrestlers. Carbine, the second-seed, beat top-seed Jay Matheua of Sussex Central, 4-2, for the 160-pound title at the Henlopen Conference Tournament.

It was also Carbine’s 115th career win, a school record.

As a weekly winner, Carbine is now a finalist for the Army STRONG Wrestler of the Year.

Fans from across the state voted on the weekly winner of the Army STRONG Wrestler of the Week online at www.TheSportsFlash.com.

TSF Radio Network is now accepting nominations for the Army STRONG Wrestler of the Year. Fans, coaches, and media can submit their nominations via e-mail by noon on Monday. The e-mail address is ArmyStrong.Delaware@TheSportsFlash.com.
