With a 15-3 record, the Smyrna High softball team pulled in the No. 3 seed in the state tournament, which begins Saturday, May 29.
The Eagles are set to host No .14 seed Wilmington Charter (12-6) in a first round match up at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Smyrna High.
The tournament’s No. 1 seed is Caravel (15-3), while Laurel (17-1) received the No. 2 seed.
If Smyrna wins its first round game, the Eagles would go on to face the winner of No. 6 Archmere (17-1) and No. 11 Hodgson (15-3) in the state quarterfinals on Tuesday, June 1. The time and location will be announced after Saturday's games.
