SHS boys' basketball team soars over Sussex Central

Smyrna High School came from behind in the fourth quarter to defeat Sussex Central in boys' basketball action Feb. 20 in Smyrna.

Smyrna took a 14-12 lead after the first quarter, but the Knights battled back to go in front 32-27 at halftime.

The Eagles closed the gap to one point, 45-44, after three quarters and then outscored Sussex Central 28-23 in the final quarter for the 72-68 win.

Chris Oscar and Andre Gibbs each scored 22 points to lead the Eagles. Bradley Forrest-Jones poured in 15. Derrick Boyd scored 6. Matt Storck netted 3, and Nick Motyl and Woluko added 2 apiece.
