Celtic Harvest is performing at the Smyrna Opera House.
Just before St. Patrick’s Day, Celtic Harvest will perform in Smyrna Saturday, March 16 at 7:30 p.m., at the Opera House, 7 W. South St.
Celtic Harvest is the essence of a night in a cozy pub in the far reaches of Ireland, Scotland, Newfoundland and Cape Breton, or wherever the four winds have blown the tunes and songs of those fearsome islands.
Formed 21 years ago, this group of musical friends has been delighting audiences throughout the Delmarva region with their performances of traditional and original material.
Celtic Harvest features Kathy Doyle (piano and vocals), Bob Frazier (guitar and vocals), Jan Crumpley (concertina, flute, whistle), Jim McGiffin (bass, banjo, silly songs) and Mike Nielsen (harp, bouzouki, not-silly-at-all songs). Their sets are eclectic and cover a wide range of emotions and tempos.
Tickets are $16, $14 for Opera House members, senior citizens 65 and up and military personnel, and $8 for children 12 and under. For information, call (302) 653-4236, stop by the box office Tuesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., or see the website smyrnaoperahouse.org.
