Here are some fun events to dive into this weekend.

1. “The Back to the Eighties Show” with Jessie’s Girl is a blast to the vibrant past.

Jessie’s Girl has mastered renditions of the world’s most upbeat songs, all while dressed up as unforgettable characters from the 1980s.

Some of these icons include Bon Jovi, Cyndi Lauper, Michael Jackson, Madonna and Prince.

Over the last five years on every Saturday night, it’s been tradition for crowds of ecstatic fans to don their best spandex, leg warmers and metal gear, headed to downtown New York for an all-out celebration of this era.

Bring your own chairs and experience the ‘80s glitz of Jessie’s Girl at the Freeman Stage at Bayside, 31750 Lake View Drive, Selbyville at 7 p.m., Friday. COST $20; free for ages 18 or younger. INFO freemanstage.org or call 436-3015.

2. Zombies and humans share the stage, singing show tunes inspired by the likes of Green Day in “Musical of the Living Dead.”

In this comedy, audiences embark on a journey beyond the grave while poking fun at classic zombie films and musical theater.

Since this is a messy show, feel free to wear clothes that can withstand stains from zombie guts. Guests who spend a little extra will get seated directly in the splatter zone.

Bootless Stageworks will help you escape these dead-serious times we’re facing as a nation with its lighthearted “Living Dead” at St. Stephen’s Church, 1301 N. Broom St., Wilmington at 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday. COST $22 to $30. INFO bootless.org.

3. Washed-up actors are tasked with resurrecting their careers in the whodunit “Drop Dead!”

During dress rehearsal a set falls, props break and the producer and an actor are murdered. On opening night, the murders continue.

The remaining thespians must save the show and their careers, solve the mystery and stay alive for curtain calls.

Presented by Second Street Players, “Drop Dead!” is at the Riverfront Theatre, 2 S. Walnut St., Milford at 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday; 2 p.m., Sunday. Six shows run through July 31. COST $17; $16 for seniors and students on Sundays. INFO secondstreetplayers.com or call 800-838-3006.
