Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge near Smyrna is hosting an orientation session this Saturday, Sept. 3 for people interested in volunteering at the refuge.

Orientation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the refuge, 2591 Whitehall Neck Road, about five miles southeast of Smyrna, off of Route 9.

Volunteers are needed to staff the Visitor Center from September to November, provide educational programs for schools, conduct tours, provide trail and landscaping maintenance and help with highway cleanups. Training will be provided.
