Obie is an American Staffordshire Terrier mix estimated to be about four years old. He was originally found as a stray in Laurel, but is now living comfortably in a foster home with Grass Roots Rescue, which is based out of Lewes.    "Obie has an autoimmune disease that makes his head look like that," said Grass Roots Rescue's Karli Swope. "He's happy as a clam though."   The only treatment Obie's disease, masticatory muscle myositis, requires is occasional steroids. According to Wikipedia, "masticatory muscle myositis is an inflammatory disease affecting the muscles of mastication (chewing)."   Obie is ready for a family that will show him love and proper care.
