Jeffrey S. Cannon, 41, of Millsboro, was arrested on Friday, Feb. 17, after detectives were able to link him to two burglaries that occurred at The Used Car Factory at 34322 DuPont Boulevard in Millsboro.  The first incident occurred on January 23,

The front door of the dealership was smashed to gain entry in the first incident, which occurred on Jan. 23. Once inside, Cannon allegedly took over $250 from a cash register, as well as two diagnostic scanning tools valued at  $5,000 apiece. The front door was again smashed on Feb. 3, when Cannon allegedly ransacked two desks and damaged a computer and a car hood before stealing about $9,000 worth of tools.

A search warrant executed at Cannon's residence allowed police to recover several items stolen from the dealership, on both dates. 

Cannon was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary, three counts of theft over $1,500, three counts of theft under $1,500 and four counts of criminal mischief. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $16,400 secured bond.
