Police said the suspect is also believed to have robbed a restaurant in Camden later the same day.

Smyrna police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a robbery at a Smyrna drugstore.

On Monday, Feb. 26 at about 4:23 p.m., the suspect entered the Walgreens on Jimmy Drive and U.S. Route 13. He approached the cash registers where he displayed a black handgun and demanded money from employees.

After obtaining money, the suspect fled on foot, possibly to an awaiting vehicle.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5-feet-10 to 6-feet tall and about 200 pounds, with short hair and a beard.

The suspect had several bandages on his face.

Investigators believe this suspect is also responsible for the robbery of the Camden McDonald’s about 30 minutes later that day. That crime is under investigation by Delaware State Police.

People with tips may remain anonymous.
