Delaware State Police said the incident happened Monday at RICE restaurant on Limestone Road, in the Pike Creek area west of Wilmington.
Delaware State Police have arrested a Wilmington man on charges of assaulting a co-worker at a restaurant in the Pike Creek area west of Wilmington.
The incident occurred Monday at about 12:53 p.m., at RICE restaurant, 2015 Limestone Road, Wilmington.
Police said Li Cheng, 44, and a 42-year-old male co-worker got into a physical altercation while working in the kitchen. During the altercation, Cheng struck the victim in the head with a metal kitchen utensil and threatened him with a knife, before the two were separated by fellow employees.
The victim was treated by emergency medical services personnel for a laceration to his head and then he was taken to Christiana Hospital for more treatment.
Cheng remained at the restaurant and was taken into custody by police without incident.
Cheng was taken to Delaware State Police Troop 2 where he was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, aggravated menacing and terroristic threatening.
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $17,000 unsecured bail while awaiting another court appearance.
