Republican for 36th District Representative
Each candidate was asked to respond to three questions.
1. What are the top issues you will address in your campaign and what are your plans for moving those issues forward?
As the 36th District takes on the challenges of an evolving economy, growing population and an increased demand on our natural resources, I will meet the opportunities we have to strengthen our economy, rehabilitate and rebuild our infrastructure to ensure clean water and improve our transportation systems and create sound fiscal policies to ensure future generations have the ability to enjoy a great quality of life for their families. All of these opportunities are discussed in detail on our website at www.voteshupe.com.
2. What makes you uniquely qualified for the political office you seek?
As the owner of two small businesses in the 36th District, two-term Mayor for the City of Milford and a member of several non-profit Boards, I have had a unique look inside the local economy. What I have learned from each of these positions is that a healthy economy and job growth come from a spirit of togetherness and a partnership between business, government and the community. I am running to represent you in the Delaware Legislature because I believe that the 36th District will play a pivotal role in the future of our State. As policy makers prepare to take on the challenges of our evolving economy, population growth and demand on our natural resources, the 36th District can lead the way by demonstrating that innovative solutions will come from a partnership between business, government and the community.
