Democrat for 13th District Representative (unopposed)


Each candidate was asked to respond to three questions.

1.  What are the top issues you will address in your campaign and what are your plans for moving those issues forward?

Quality of life issues addressing the needs of the community by providing funding for the services to ensure safety in the communities and throughout Delaware.


Educational concerns by providing funding to our schools and children so that we provide quality education to our children and resources for our teachers. Examine the educational structure to make sure we are currently not wasting funds throughout the districts. To continue providing programs to prevent the use of opioids and prevent the deaths of our neighbors, friends and family.

2.  What makes you uniquely qualified for the political office you seek?

I have over 40 years of public service as a law enforcement officer and elected official in Delaware. I have dedicated over half of my lifetime to help Delawareans. I have the background and experience to know how to help our community through the resources we have.

3.  What community groups are you involved with and in what capacity?

I’m a Life Member and past Board of Director for the Elsmere Company. I currently serve on the board for the Police Athletic League in Delaware helping our children with critical services and programs. I attend meetings and remain active with numerous communities through their civic associations.

Political experience: November 2006 Past member of the Joint Finance Committee, presently member of the Bond Committee, Chmn of Judiciary, Chmn of Homeland Security and Public Safety Committee, Vice Chmn of Corrections and member of the Gaming Committee.
