The District I Kent County All-Stars knocked off Pennsylvania 13-1 on Thursday afternoon for the Big League East Championship, earning a trip to the World Series in Easley, South Carolina.

After managing only three runs in the championship series opener on Wednesday, District I’s bats went to work early on Thursday, scoring five runs in the second inning. Dillon Cole, who pitched a complete game, kept Pennsylvania at bay on the mound before District I added some insurance in the seventh, increasing their lead to 13-1 thanks to a seven-run inning.

District I will now make a return visit to Easley for the World Series, as they were able to get past a Pennsylvania team that staved off elimination on Wednesday night, defeating District I 7-3 to force a second game in the championship series.

Kent County will represent the East in the World Series which begins on Tuesday, July 26.
