The all-stars from Kent County representing District I, ended their second-straight Big League World Series berth with a victory on Saturday, defeating Canada 14-4.

District I finished their tournament run with a 1-2 mark, though they went out in style with a 10-run rule victory.

After trailing early, District I exploded for a seven-run fourth inning at the plate, led by multiple contributors. Tyler Collins and Dallas Willey led the way, combining for eight total RBI, while Tommy Jordan and Eric Berardicelli both added an RBI and two runs scored apiece in the victory.

Cameron Turner earned the victory on the mound for District I, while both Jared Hickox and Louis Whitaker pitched well in relief to preserve the win.

District I closed out their tournament run by bouncing back after a loss to host team South Carolina in their second game of the tournament, 10-1 on Thursday. South Carolina took control early, scoring eight runs in the second inning with two outs.

In their opener at Easley, District I came up short against Hawaii, falling 3-1, with their only run coming off a Collins’ RBI single scoring Quintin Ivy who had singled and stolen second earlier in the inning.
