Former Smyrna High coach and state champion wrestler Buddy Lloyd is among four candidates scheduled to be inducted into the Delaware Wrestling Hall of Fame on Saturday, Oct. 8 at Timothy’s on the Waterfront in Wilmington.

The evening begins with hors d’oeuvres at 5:30 p.m., followed by the banquet at 6:45 p.m.

Tickets are $45 each which includes an open bar.

Buddy Lloyd was a state champion wrestler in 1970 for Smyrna High School and then he coached the Smyrna High team from 1978 to 1983, earning Delaware Coach of the Year honors in 1982. He founded the Smyrna Little Wrestlers program in 1972 and has served as chairman of the DIAA State Wrestling Committee.

Other inductees this year are Henry Milligan from A.I. du Pont High School, Roy Rigby from Milford High School, and wrestling official Edward Janvier.
