The Smyrna High School graduate is now eighth on the women's basketball career scoring list at Eastern and second in games started with 102.
Eastern University senior guard Taylor Price, a Smyrna High School graduate, has been honored by the Middle Atlantic Conference on the All-MAC Freedom Second Team in women’s basketball for the 2017-18 season.
This is the fourth year Price has garnered MAC Freedom post-season recognition. She was Co-Rookie of the Year in 2014-15, earned second-team honors as a sophomore, and first-team recognition last season.
Price averaged 13 points per game in her senior campaign and 11.8 points per game for her career. She finished second on the team this year with 6.4 rebounds a game and led the Eagles with 90 assists. She had five games with 20 or more points this season.
With her 326 points this year, Price moved into the eighth spot on Eastern's career scoring list with 1,229 points.
She ranks in the top 10 at Eastern in several other career categories including 633 rebounds, seventh all time; 343 assists, fourth all time; 104 three-pointers, fourth all time; free throw percentage of 77.3 percent, third all time; 104 games played, third all time; 102 games started, second all time.
She’s the first African American player in school history to score 1,000 points.
