Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened Monday at about 6:08 p.m., on Arthursville Road (Route 11) between Kenton and Hartly.

A 38-year-old Smyrna man was driving a 2004 Ford F-150 pickup north on Arthursville Road north of Shorts Corner Road when he crossed into the southbound lane and traveled off the shoulder of the road.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. His name is being withheld while the next of kin is notified.
